Dr Marcus Yip

Advanced Trainee Registrar in Emergency Medicine

    Dr Marcus Yip is an advanced trainee registrar in Emergency Medicine. He graduated from Flinders University and worked in South Australia, Victoria and Northern Territory before finding his path in Emergency Medicine, which ties in critical care medicine and his other interest – nuclear disarmament. He has been involved in antinuclear work for the last decade, as student representative of Medical Association for the Prevention of War (MAPW) and then a board member, and current Treasurer of International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Australia. ICAN was awarded the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize for its work in facilitating a UN treaty to ban nuclear weapons in 2017.
